What it looks to be a comatose area of the town of Rio Piedras, when it used to be a merchant area for colleague students and the habitants, as well as near neighbors of the metropolitan area, now it’s a nice exhibition of excellent artists that are bringing slowly but steady, a sign of life and probably a new proposal of a transformation into now the Paseo del Arte or Art Hallway if you will ; which is a narrow street non vehicular, filled with mural art and also, some decorative figures, that brings the life and curiosity for those who arrives at this street.
I really enjoyed most of the sculptures and mural paintings, which are formidable, but I wish to see much more of the area, because it’s so easy to arrive from the Tren Urbano, and maybe could be an area to develop different events that could target art enthusiasts, like concerts, art vendors, or more; What I noticed is that they’re making a building where the old shopping mall used to be, could be a hotel , community art center or even a new mall? Only time will tell.
